Born in the 1988/89 season, Lurgan Town Boys FC was formed in order to provide football for all boys in the Lurgan area regardless of class, colour, creed or religion. With the support that has been given from the people of Lurgan, parents and countless sponsors, the club has firmly established itself as one of the leading junior clubs in the country.

Lurgan Town has a hard working committee and management structure which ensures that all the boys are coached and disciplined in all areas of the game. This professionalism has seen the club win countless trophies, has provided a platform for players to gain representative honors, at County and International level, and has seen its players progress to senior level on a home basis, at Irish League level and English League level. Without doubt the club's aim is firmly focused at grass roots level, with the hope that these players will then go on and represent themselves in the senior squad or at Irish/English League level.

With 16 teams operating every Saturday, plus four 7-a-side teams from the Youth Development Academy, it continues to boast its presence as one of the largest, if not the largest, junior club in Northern Ireland. The senior squads are ensuring that the younger players have something to aspire to. In their short history, they are in the Mid Ulster Intermediate B League and Reserve Division 2 League.
